Loreena Miguez

Loreena Miguez was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she lived for most of her life before coming to the United States to study film. She successfully graduated from UCSB in June 2022, with a degree in Film & Media Studies and a minor in French. She has always been passionate about editing music videos, and recently she has found joy in animation. She is not yet sure about her future and which path to follow, but it is her wish as a filmmaker to give voices to those who need them, and to bring life to their stories in a way that will compel her audience. Only when we truly feel and understand what life is like for others can we bring about a positive change in this world.
